DJing at the Victoria’s Secret Glasgow Fort Store Opening

When it comes to blending fashion, luxury, and high-energy vibes, few brands do it quite like Victoria’s Secret. So when I was invited to DJ at the grand opening of their new store at Glasgow Fort, I knew it was going to be a fun event. As a DJ, there's nothing quite like the thrill of creating the perfect soundtrack for such an occasion. The store itself was a showstopper, and I was there to make sure the music lived up to the hype.

The Setting: Glasgow Fort—The Perfect Venue for a Fashion Powerhouse

Located just outside the city center, Glasgow Fort is one of the most popular retail destinations in the region. The new store was stunning with the brands signature white-and-pink décor throughout. On the Thursday, I played at the Launch party which was for VIP guests and Scottish influencers who were the first to see the new store and shop the latest collections. As the DJ for the night, it was my job to complement this incredible environment with music that matched the mood—glamorous, fun, and girly.

Curating the Perfect Soundtrack

The key to DJing at a fashion event like this is understanding the brand’s ethos. Victoria’s Secret is all about confidence, sensuality, and empowerment, with an element of fantasy and fun. My goal was to create an atmosphere that captured these feelings, while keeping the energy upbeat and celebratory. I played a mix of house and disco to set the vibe. There was a great buzz in-store as trailers from the upcoming iconic Victoria's Secret fashion show previewed on the screens.

A Weekend to Remember

DJing at the Victoria’s Secret Glasgow Fort store opening wasn’t just another gig—it was a chance to be part of something bigger. The store’s opening wasn’t just a retail event; it was an experience, one that combined fashion, luxury, and music into a night that guests wouldn’t soon forget.

As a DJ, it’s incredibly rewarding to be able to contribute to that energy. The blend of live fashion, beautiful store displays, and a soundtrack that makes people feel good—it all came together in such a magical way.

The rest of the weekend was full of surprises when the store officially opened to the public. It was queued hours before opening each day and we had a flashmob of dancers in Victoria's Secret PJs and a piper with Highland Dancers - all in pink kilts!

Looking Ahead

The Victoria’s Secret store opening at Glasgow Fort was an incredible experience, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it. It was a reminder of how powerful music can be in shaping the mood of an event, and how the right soundtrack can take an already glamorous night and turn it into something truly unforgettable.
